At North Park
- we expect men to be leaders, servants, and examples of what a follower of Christ is to be—at home, at work, in the community, as well as at church.
- we expect men to be on the front line, not sitting back on the sidelines watching the action.
- we expect men to be developing into the men they are capable of being through Christ.
To do this, we offer a variety of ministries aimed at meeting men where they are in their lives, helping them and encouraging them one step at a time to become more of the men they are capable of being through Christ. Listed below are some of them, but we’re always innovating and offering something new. Special events and activities will be announced in our church newsletter, weekly bulletin, this web site, and through emails.
Sunday Morning Life Bible Study
Sundays at 9:00 a.m. is the time to gather your family together and all be in Bible Study at the same time. We currently have four adult co-ed classes organized loosely by age. At the same time we have classes for teenagers, children, and preschoolers. Bring your family out next Sunday.
Men’s Breakfast
Four Saturdays each year at 8:30 a.m. have a great breakfast then either do a study focused on becoming men of God or we invite our male friends to learn more about the Christian faith.
Men’s Retreat
We hold a retreat once a year. It begins on a Friday evening and ends on Saturday afternoon. Our retreat includes great meals, fellowship, Bible Study, prayer, recreation, and personal time with God.
Missions/Service to the community
Our men are actively involved in serving their church and the community. Our partnership with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission has allowed some of our men the chance to get directly involved in helping in their men’s addiction recovery program. Many more are involved in periodic opportunities to serve the needy. In addition our men work alongside of our women and children in group projects to assist other churches or reach out into the community.
